In this episode, I speak to Riva Greenberg whose been living with type 1 diabetes for over 48 years. Riva is an inspirational speaker, author, and global diabetes advocate. 

Riva and I discuss her diagnosis story, why it took 32 years for her to see a diabetes educator, the biggest challenges Riva has faced whilst living with type 1 diabetes, and the current paradigms of healthcare. 

Riva is the founder of the Flourishing Treatment Approach. FTA is focused on the whole person rather than just one ailment. Healthcare professionals are seen as partners and coaches to patients. Riva has shared this approach with HCP’s across the world.
